What is the maximum sill height for an emergency escape window?
§01ANSWER
Emergency escape and rescue openings must have a sill height of not more than 44 inches above the finished floor.
The minimum net clear opening is 5.7 square feet, reduced to 5.0 square feet for grade-floor or below-grade openings.
Minimum net clear opening height is 24 inches and minimum net clear opening width is 20 inches.
